Roku Expanding Its Reach to Europe

If one takes a look at smart TVs in households around the country, he finds that Roku is dominating the scene. Every one of the three smart TVs in homes across the country is a Roku TV. Now, Roku has set its sight upon the European market. Roku is expanding its licensing program to Europe in partnership with Highsense. This Chinese multinational has been allowed to produce and market Roku TVs in several European markets. Roku support service proves beneficial for the manufacturer as its smart TVs get the latest and advanced technology and features from Roku. Riding on Roku support, it is expected that Highsense smart TVs will be lapped up by the consumers in the European markets.

Anthony Wood, CEO and founder of Roku, has said that with this licensing program, Highsense would be free to make smart TVs running on Roku OS. Transfer of technology, regular update of the OS, and tons of entertainment for the consumers through streaming are some of the attractions that give partner manufactures an edge over other smart TV manufacturers. Wood added that the company is looking forward to seeing its first Highsense TVs with Roku players anytime later in the year in the markets.

As of now, consumers have the option of choosing from nearly 100 Roku TV models made by top 10 brands in North America. Highsense has said that it will make available its Roku TVs in the market by the end of 2019. Its range will include many types of TVs with sizes going up to 65 inches. There has been no comment on the pricing of these Roku TVs till now. If you are living in a European country, you can get more information about these Highsense Roku TVs and their prices by contacting a reliable Roku support number.

Roku has been the front runner in the world of smart TVs using its OS. Taking the cue from Roku, tech giants like Amazon and Google are also working on their operating systems to be fitted inside TV sets. Even Apple is working fast on its tvOS to make inroads in the world of home entertainment.

It was in 2014 that Roku first introduced its Roku TV platform at the CES. In just 5 years, customers have over 100 models of Roku TVs to choose from in the market made by top TV brands.

Roku is not the only company eyeing the European markets. Amazon has said that it will tie up with TV manufacturers in Europe to make smart TVs called Fire TVs that will run on Fire OS of the company.

Roku introduced its first Highsense smart TVs last week at IFA. This consumer tech show was organized in Berlin where visitors could get a glance of these futuristic TVs in the stall of Roku booth as well as Highsense booth.
